Robert Maxwell

British media mogul (1923-1991), born Jan Ludvík Hyman Binyamin Hoch in Czechoslovakia. Built a publishing empire including the Daily Mirror. Father of Ghislaine Maxwell and eight other children. Died mysteriously after falling from his yacht "Lady Ghislaine" off the Canary Islands in November 1991. After his death, it emerged he had fraudulently raided £440 million from his companies' pension funds. Alleged to have been a Mossad asset. Ghislaine moved to New York shortly after his death and became involved with Jeffrey Epstein. Some speculate connections between Maxwell's intelligence ties and Epstein's own mysterious wealth and associations.
